Purple Spring Inspired Makeup Look

Purple Spring Inspired Makeup Look

Hi guys! Welcome back! Today’s post and video are going to be on my Purple Spring Inspired Makeup Look using the Carli Bybel Palette by BH Cosmetics! Seeing as Spring has suddenly left the Niagara Region, I figured this look my help to bring a tiny bit of Spring happiness into my life! Want to know what products I used? Keep reading!

Since Spring began (Or had somewhat started before our random snow fall in April!) I became obsessed with purple! I think it is the most beautiful Spring time colour, seeing as I am not really a pink kind of gal. This purple makeup look was inspired by the super stunning Carli Bybel Palette by BH Cosmetics! I bought this palette so long ago, but lately it has been my go to for eyeshadows! There are some beautiful purples, and some more neutral shades; I feel like there are a lot of makeup looks that can be accomplished with this palette! Let’s chat about the products I used for this look, shall we!?

Benefit Cosmetics The POREfessional Matte Rescue Mattifying Gel
Benefit Cosmetics The POREfessional Face Primer

These two are my all time favourite primers! I use the Matte Rescue all over my face to help keep me matte and my oils at bay. And I use the POREfessional on the areas of my face where my pores are super visible to help smooth them out and make them look less visible.

Dior Diorskin Forever Perfect Makeup

This is honestly my new favourite foundation. I am completely obsessed with how flawless it makes my skin look. In this video, I apply the foundation to my face with my Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge, even though I would prefer to apply this foundation with a brush (Only because I feel like a brush doesn’t soak up as much product as a sponge and this foundation is Expensive!) But I just purchased this Real Technique sponge and I wanted to try it out!

Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer

As you can see in the video, this concealer is a bit too light for my skin, but it was the only colour I could purchase in my local Sephora, so I even it out with bronzer and it doesn’t look too crazy. I go back and forth between my Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer and this Urban Decay one really just depending on which one I see first.

Laura Mercier Translucent Setting Powder

I used this powder because I am all out of my Too Faced Primed and Poreless Loose Powder. I do like the Laura Mercier powder, but I feel that it doesn’t keep me as matte as the Too Face one. With that being said, I started to apply my powder with my Real Technique Miracle Complexion Sponge and I really like the way it sets my makeup, makes my pores less visible and makes me look flawless.

Physician’s Formula Butter Bronzer

Big shocker here! In case you were unaware, I am completely obsessed with this bronzer. I haven’t used any other bronzer or contour powder since I got this one. The colour is perfect for bronzing up your cheeks or giving a really light contour. I am completely in love with it.

ColourPop Cosmetics Matte Blush in Cruel Intentions

As I have said a million times, I am not the biggest fan of the ColourPop Cosmetics formula. They are really creamy, and my very oily skin just doesn’t agree with them. But I have fallen in love with the colour of this blush. It is the perfect pink for my skin tone and doesn’t make me look like a clown (Which is always a plus!)

NARS Smudge Proof Eye Shadow Base

This stuff is AMAZING! It’s like glue for your eyelids. I have extremely oily eyelids and when I put this on, my eyeshadow will last all day without creasing at all! I have even slept with my eye make up on (Obviously, not the smartest thing to do) and when I woke up in the morning, my eye shadow still looked perfect! If you are looking for an amazing eye primer, definitely check this one out!

The Carli Bybel Palette by BH Cosmetics

PurpleSpringCarliBybelThese are the colours that I used on my eyes.
1 – All over the lid to set the eyeshadow base
2 – In the crease as a transition shade
3 – Lower in the crease to add dimension
4 – On the outer V of the eye to intensify the colour and add dimension
5 – All over the lid to add some shimmer

Sephora Brand Liquid Liner in Black

I really like this liner. I bought it because I couldn’t fathom spending over 10$ on a liquid liner. This does the job well; The brush is really small and precise and the colour is very black! I would usually do a wing with an eye look like this, but for my first ‘tutorial’ on camera, I didn’t want to look like a fool when my eye liner didn’t turn out even! 😉

Revlon Volume + Length Magnified Mascara

I just purchased this mascara because I really liked how this line has a bunch of different mascaras depending on what you like. I am a volume gal, but I ended up purchasing this length and volume edition. I do like it, although I feel that I need to put at least 3 coats on to make my lashes look full and luscious. I have been trying to find a drugstore mascara that I love as much as the Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara, but honestly, nothing beats that in my books!

The Carli Bybel Palette by BH Cosmetics

For this look, I wanted to stick with the Carli Bybel Palette so I used the very first highlight (The light pink one) on my cheeks and under my brow bone. I did put a little on the bridge of my nose as well, but normally I don’t do this because it makes me feel like I look shiny which is what I try to avoid. I usually use gold tone highlights as I think that looks better on my skin, but after using this pink highlight, I really like the way it looks. Subtle but still beautiful! I will definitely be using this again!

Gerard Cosmetics Hydra Matte Liquid Lipstick in Ecstasy

As you know, I love Gerard Cosmetics and these Hydra Matte Liquid Lipsticks. As this look was a total purple look, I used Ecstasy; Which is a beautiful, cool toned, wearable purple shade. These liquid lipsticks are beautiful. I did a swatch video of all the shades I own (Check it out here) and I figured this was perfect for this look.

Alright guys! That’s it for this video/product description! I really hope you guys like this look and I can not wait to start filming some more Spring looks for you guys!
