Hello KDB Beauty followers! It’s that time again – K’S BAES: Monthly Favourites Time! YAY! I struggled a tad this month, seeing as I have been using the same routine and pretty much the same products all month long. But after I thought about it for a while, I realized that there were a few new favourites that I am super excited to share with you. Interested in what I’m loving this month? Keep reading to find out!
Urban Decay x Gwen Stefani Eye Shadow Palette – Okay, so I think this palette might have been limited edition because I can no longer find it on the Sephora or Urban Decay websites (The link will take you to the UK website; It’s the only place I could find it!) Regardless, I am so happy I snatched this palette while I could. I had seen a bunch of posts about it, and the colours looked so beautiful and pigmented, but I really didn’t want to pay 70$ for it. And then, one glorious day, I saw it on sale for 30$ on the Sephora website so I immediately knew I had to pick it up! Am I ever glad I did! Just as I suspected, the shades are gorgeous in this palette, they are super pigmented and they blend like a dream. I may have found my new favourite transition shade in this palette; Anaheim. It is the perfect taupe/light brown and I have been obsessed with it. I am also in love with Punk; A warm toned brick red/brown shade and 1987; A stunning yellow gold shade. I have been dying to try out the beautiful dark blue, shimmer shade called Danger. I will hopefully be doing a look with this colour very soon. Anyways, I feel kind of bad talking about this product if it is no longer available but I can’t even help it. It is stunning!
Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette – This is another one that I knew I was going to love as soon as I purchased it. Once again, I purchased this palette for my freelance kit because the shades are perfect for wedding makeup and will look gorgeous on everyone. But I have no self control when it comes to makeup. I was using this palette on one of my girlfriends, and the colours were so perfect, I just had to try them on myself. All of the colours are beautiful matte neutrals, and blend like a dream. They all complement each other perfectly, and I feel that this palette would be perfect for a beginner or someone who isn’t sure what types of shades they prefer. Naked2 is another beautiful transition shade. The only issue I had was with the lighter shades in the palette. They are not as pigmented as the darker shades and I REALLY had to build them up to get the pigmentation I was looking for. But that doesn’t even bother me because I am so in love with the darker shades. I don’t know why I have been obsessed with eye shadow palettes this month, but these two are super gorgeous!
Younique Splash Liquid Lipstick in Stoic – So, if you haven’t heard of the brand Younique, you must be living under a rock. Pictures and videos of people using these products are ALL over my social media pages and I love it. I have been highly contemplating becoming a presenter, but I wanted to try some products first to see how I felt about them. I purchased this Splash Liquid Lipstick when a friend of mine (Who is also a presenter) was having a sale because I was dying to test out this formula! I chose the colour Stoic which is described as a rusty brown because I am all about the brown shades for lips. When I finally was able to try it, I was hooked. This colour is absolutely beautiful. It is such a ‘me’ shade. The product glides on your lips so easily, the product isn’t sticky at all and it doesn’t sort of ‘ball’ up when applying. The only issue I have found with this product is that the few times that I have used it, it hasn’t set to a complete matte. This may be because I always put chapstick or a lip primer on my lips before hand.. But again, it really doesn’t bother me. The colour is so stunning that I can deal with it!
On a side note – I just ordered the Younique Addiction 4 Shadow Palette during the “7 Days of Christmas” Sale and I am ANXIOUSLY awaiting it’s arrival! I will definitely be giving you guys a review on it when it comes in the mail! Honestly, it looks like a stunning palette!
Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge – I have no idea why this beauty hasn’t been in my monthly favourites at all! I have been using the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge for at least 6 months now and honestly, it’s amazing! I have not purchased the actual Beauty Blender because there are so many cheaper alternatives that work just as good (Or so I hear). I just love that this sponge has the flat side; Which is perfect for blending my foundation all over my face. And the pointed side; Perfect for my under eye concealer as well as powder. Yes. I have been using my damp sponge to set my makeup on my face. Honest to god, people – Life Changing! I feel that it sets my makeup so much better, my skin looks flawless, my pores look smaller, and I can pack the powder on without it looking cakey. If you haven’t tried this trick, do yourself a favour and try it! It is amazing!
The Body Shop Tea Tree Blemish Fade Night Lotion – I can’t even begin to describe my love for this product. It has made my skin look and feel amazing! I know it says it’s for night time, but I honestly use it twice a day; Morning and night because I absolutely love the way it makes my skin feel. If you haven’t read any of my previous posts, I have super troublesome skin; Combo, acne prone, super sensitive to ingredients – The worst. But I have really found that the Tea Tree line products from The Body Shop have changed my skin. I am still oily (But there’s only so much I can do about that) but I have much less irritation and breakouts after using some of these products. I typically use the toner and this lotion twice a day and I am in love! If you have acne prone skin and you are looking for a moisturizer that’s not too heavy on the skin, but still moisturizing and does what it says it is going to do, definitely check this one out!
Okay guys so that’s it for my November favourites! Another month done, another month closer to 2017! Can’t believe it’s almost Christmas! I had better start shopping I guess! What were some of your favourites this month? Do you love any of these products as much as I do? Let me know! I hope you guys liked this post! Thanks so much for reading!
